To read the goodbye messages sent by laid-off employees, it sent a different chill to my spine. To know someone else, with a life of his own, had to be given the boot, thus saving your job for one or several more months, is so saddening.

Some of those affected people, may even be able to wishstand losing a job. And to some this could probably mean that long deserved retirement. To some however, it's the money to bring food home. And to re-pay debt. And to to pay bills.

To not receive any personal messages from the affected people, somehow, bring this false sense of things that did happen, but did not have that much affect to myself. Receiving those goodbye emails, ah, what a jolt to my conscience. And if I could reply to those emails, I wouldn't know what to write. 'Thank you because your sacrifices saves my job'? 'Good luck in future endeavor'? Or the worse that I could think of, 'I'm sorry'. Wouldn't all this be such an inappropriate words to say to these brave people.

In dreams, or even maybe theirs, they could turn the crazy movie flick style, buy a gun, and come to work and shoot dead their supervisor. But none did so. They took the beating with head held high up. Braving the fear in their gut. I salute them!
